Based on my experience selling tens of thousands of hearts at farmers' markets and boutiques, these are consistently my BEST-SELLERS!

BEST SELLING PRACTICES:
The feedback I've received is that the hearts are best-selling items when placed at the register and restocked daily.
Many hospital gift shops keep around 50 hearts near the register, and then excess elsewhere in the shop. When a customer shows interest in the hearts near the register, the cashier might say, "Oh, there are more hearts over there. Have you seen them yet?" This practice both helps the customer interact more with the hearts, naturally increasing the probability that they will make a purchase, and minimizes the space taken near the register.

Fun note: Each of our hearts is handmade by a real human being--no big fancy factories and flashy equipment here! We believe in creating meaningful employment for as many stone craftsmen (and women) as possible.
To make our hearts, we source boulders, then cut and shape them into hearts, before finally grinding and polishing them. When produced in small batches, each heart takes approximately 20-30 minutes to make.
Also worthy of note, each batch of hearts is cut from a single stone. Cool, huh? Many of the hearts will resemble each other. When we cut multiple hearts from a single stone, we call them "family" because they grew up together and will always share that special resemblance and connection.
Our goal is to help as many stone carvers and their families as possible.
Thank you for not purchasing wholesale hearts from dubious middlemen. As a professional stone carver myself, I know that most hearts coming out of mainstream wholesale websites are mega-mass-produced pressed glass marketed as stone. It's easy to recognize these because the colors are too bright, the shape is too perfect, the price is too low, and zillions of wholesalers offer the same product. Watch out for words describing a stone's shape as "puffy" or "bubbly," as this is often a dead giveaway that they are likely counterfeit.
After all, isn't it better to shop local? Your purchase supports our largely family-run business, nonprofit organization, and the dozens of stone carvers and families that are helping us make the world a better place one heart at a time.
